Carpet Manufacturer — Design Portal & Warehouse System

A carpet manufacturer's workflow spans people who never use the same software: designers producing artwork, a warehouse moving physical rolls, and a commercial team publishing to storefronts. Each step was its own system, and the handoffs between them were e-mail and spreadsheets.

I built one platform covering the whole chain. Designers upload and version artwork; the warehouse runs receiving, picking and labelling against it with barcode workflows and a companion mobile app for the floor; AI room visualisation renders a design into a realistic interior so a product can be merchandised before a physical sample exists; and approved products publish to Shopify automatically with the right metafields attached. A separate worker service handles the heavy image processing — multi-gigapixel TIFFs that cannot be processed inline without taking the web app down with them.

The platform is multi-tenant, so a second brand was onboarded onto the same infrastructure rather than a fork, and it carries the operational edges that decide whether staff actually use a system: carrier integrations that map tracking events back to order status, a print-agent queue for label printers, and an internal task board so the work that does not fit a form still gets tracked.
