Carpets are priced by area, which sounds trivial until a catalogue carries dozens of sizes per design across several qualities. Every price change at the material level has to cascade through hundreds of derived prices, and every one calculated by hand is a margin error waiting to reach a marketplace.

The system takes cost inputs at the source and derives every size and variant price from them automatically, then publishes stock and pricing through XML feeds that downstream channels consume directly. When a cost moves, the whole grid moves with it — consistently, and without anybody reopening a spreadsheet.

The practical win is not the arithmetic; it is that pricing stopped being a manual step that could be forgotten. Stock and price on the selling channels now reflect reality continuously rather than as of whenever someone last exported a file.
