Home Textile Brand — B2B Stock Sync & Catalog Automation

Connected a B2B dealer portal to a Shopify storefront with 15-minute stock synchronisation and a two-way catalogue reconciliation that closed a 1,200+ variant gap.

Home Textile Brand — B2B Stock Sync & Catalog Automation

The brand ran two disconnected realities: a B2B dealer portal holding the authoritative stock, and a Shopify storefront selling to consumers from numbers that were manually updated and therefore always wrong. Oversells and phantom out-of-stocks were routine, and nobody could say how far apart the two catalogues actually were.

I built a synchronisation service that pulls stock from the B2B portal every fifteen minutes and writes it to Shopify, plus a catalogue reconciliation that compares both sides in both directions. The reconciliation surfaced the real damage — variants that existed in one system and not the other, duplicate SKUs, blocked items being read as in-stock — and worked the difference down to zero: 1,281 variants opened, 955 stale ones retired, 432 repriced.

The integration also had to survive the portal's own quirks: encrypted login, product codes that are not product names, and a "blocked" status that is not the same thing as "out of stock". Handling those distinctions correctly is the difference between a sync that works and one that quietly corrupts inventory.
